Almost a year ago I decided enough was enough and I was finally going to lose this extra weight for good....for the THIRD time...for the last 6-7 years I’ve been in a never ending cycle of restrict restrict restrict, lose all the weight and then gain gain gain all of it back plus some. I started out much the same this time. I cut out all sugar, flour and snacking and ate far too little calories. The one thing I did do differently was dive into self help books. I knew I needed to get my mind right this time as well.
I quickly lost 40lbs, but just as quickly but a plateau as my body fought back against the unhealthy habits I was forcing on it. When I started CSE I hadn’t lost another pound in 4 months.
I had switched to a Keto diet in hopes of dropping more lbs. Even eating almost zero carbs a day I was not losing weight. I was about to throw in the towel. Again. This is where the months of self help books and podcasts came in. Something clicked. Giving up will not bring me closer to my goal.
I had been following you guys for a while, wishing I could eat like that and get fit. Since nothing else was working I decided to jump in head first and I am so glad I did! This challenge has transformed so much more than just my physical appearance. I have never felt so good physically or mentally. Or at least I can’t remember a time where I haven’t felt like a run down, exhausted, depressed, half human. Did I mention the exhaustion?! More often than not, I would cry in my car on the way to work because I was so tired I could fall apart at any moment. I am a better wife and mother because I feel so good! Years of restricting, binging and abuse had taken a huge toll on my physical and mental health and I had no idea until I came out the other side! I cannot wait to continue to become the best version of myself through clean, healthy delicious food and pushing my limits in the gym.
