CONGRATS, CHRISTIE!
It's incredible to look back at how my habits have changed during the last five years of CSE challenges. I feel stronger than I have ever felt in my life. With five kids to keep up with, I've found spending time focusing on my well-being has made me a better mom and wife. I still feel overwhelmed with all the things that are constantly thrown at me, but I feel so much better about myself because of the habits I've developed thanks to Erika, JJ and the CSE team!
This challenge I really took the mantra “nothing changes if nothing changes“ to heart and took time to think about what changes I could manage. I focused a lot on getting my water in (and avoided much of anything else but water) as well as working out five days a week consistently. My biggest weakness has always been snacks. This time, I spent time each week meal prepping healthy, high protein CSE snacks rather than making my macros work with whatever I would quickly grab. This change helped me feel a lot more energized and satisfied rather than hungry at the end of the day.Â
Change is hard! But these changes have been well worth the work because they have helped me see results that I’ve been looking for!! But even more than physical changes, I’ve seen mental changes that have helped me tackle all that is being thrown at us right now.
Each season we host a free 7-week, community-based health and fitness challenge. We work hard, get our sweat on, and work together to motivate each other to reach our goals.
