Our Spring 2019 Finalist, Kallianne!

Talk about a mind, body and soul transformation - Kallianne did it all! Read @Kwake’s story below:

Hear from her in her own words:

“I am a single mother of a beautiful 3yr old girl. I started my own business when my daughter was 6 months old in hopes of not having to put her in day care (which I could not afford in the first place), and be able to work from home and raise her MYSELF. I've worked really hard over the past 3 years to get my business off the ground and make enough money to stay afloat and provide for my daughter. I work 7 days a week and make as much time as I possibly can to spend quality time, with my daughter.

I gained 75lbs during my pregnancy (YIKES)... my weight has been out of control ever since. I lose some, gain it back, repeat, repeat. Life got so busy, I was consumed with work, my daughter, stress and slight depression...which led to emotional eating, weight gain, more stress and deeper depression. When I started this challenge about 8 weeks ago, I did not feel like myself. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin, tired all the time, drained and depressed. I knew I needed to do something to get my mind, body and spirit back to a healthy place. A friend of mine was joining the CSE Spring Challenge and pushed me to do it with her. I bought the meal plan, signed up and promised myself that I would put 100% effort into this and get back to the best version of ME, for ME & for my daughter. I consistently stuck to my macros and the meal plan.... Every Single Day. I tracked everything I put into my mouth, put the wine down and got REAL with myself. It sounds sort of silly now, but I really had to dig deep and do some serious soul searching to find the motivation and willpower to do this thing - and stick to it. I started to notice changes fairly quickly and then there would be no change for a few days, but I didn't let it get me down. I stuck to my promise and my goals.

Being the best ME for my daughter really helped me push forward through the hard days. I followed CSE on Facebook daily to boost my motivation, had fun with my daughter making the delicious meals from the Spring book (she loved the meals too!), and completed the workouts at least 3 times a week. WOW!!! What an amazing journey this has been!!! In a little less than 8 weeks, I have lost 13lbs (hit my goal weight), shed 14 inches, 6% body fat and gained lean muscle mass!!! More importantly, I GOT MY GROOVE BACK!! I feel amazing, have more energy, more focus, happier tummy, less brain fog, more focus, more confidence, way more of a positive perspective every day, less stress and NO DEPRESSION. Of course, not every day is sprinkles and sunshine... but I feel that I am able to manage anything that is thrown my way A LOT easier.

It is truly amazing what taking control of your health & fitness really does to your entire world. I can't even put into words what this challenge has done for me and how thankful I am that I decided to take the leap and GO FOR IT. I am so thankful that Erika & JJ provide this opportunity with amazing support and tools, for people who really need something like this. I am thankful my friend talked me into doing it. I am thankful it has turned my life back around in the right direction. I battled eating disorders for many years when I was younger. I was a "Yo-Yo'er" and not healthy in body, mind or spirit. I drank A LOT and felt out of control. Learning about Macros, and all of the yummy food you CAN eat and still reach your goals, has been a total game changer for me. I used to either starve or binge eat. Now I have learned to follow my macros, track accordingly and eat wholesome, yummy food ALL DAY. So amazing!!! It has helped me have a healthy relationship with food, my body image, my mind, and so much more. I can't wait to start the summer challenge!!! I'm just getting started baby!!! Cheers to a happy & HEALTHY life... and thank you for helping me get here!!!”
