Iced Crio Bru and Other Clean Simple Eats Approved Drink Ideas

Boring drinks? Not our style. As much as I recommend drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day of the challenge, I understand it’s fun to mix it up. Here are a few of our favorite CSE approved drinks.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Crio Bru Concentrate (recipe below) or brewed coffee
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 Tbs. canned full-fat coconut milk (shake before using)
2 tsp. organic coconut sugar 
Ice

Directions:
1. Shake Crio Concentrate. Add all ingredients to a jar and shake until sugar is dissolved. 
2. Pour into a glass full of ice. Enjoy cold with a straw 😍

Note - because I know you’re going to ask “can I add creamer?” and the answer is “YES! If you take into account those extra calories and macros into your daily calorie total.”

4 cups water
1 cup Crio Bru grounds


1. Add to a saucepan and bring to a light boil. Simmer for ten minutes. Stir and simmer an additional two minutes.
2. Let cool slightly then drain the grounds by running it through a coffee filter, strainer or using a French press. Pour the liquid into an airtight container and store in the fridge. Throw out the leftover grounds. It should make about 24 ounces of Crio Bru Concentrate.

 

*When choosing a beverage, avoid drinks that contain artificial sweeteners and flavors or high sugar and calorie content.

  • Zevia

  • Ice cold water or sparkling water with fresh lemon or lime juice and a dropper full of French Vanilla Stevia Liquid Extract (I get mine from whole foods).

  • Ice cold water with True Lemon Lemonade

  • Any brand of naturally flavored sparkling water (La Croix, Perrier, Pellegrino, Honest, Hint, Polar, Dasani)

  • Black Coffee or Crio Bru, straight up

  • Bai5 Antioxidant Infused Beverage

  • CSE Italian Cream Sodas (see recipe below)

  • Black Coffee or Crio Bru with one tablespoon of full-fat coconut milk and French Vanilla Liquid Stevia Drops (from Whole Foods).

  

Ingredients:

  • 1 can La Croix, any flavor (I use Cran Raspberry)

  • 1 True Lemon drink mix stick, any flavor

  • 2 Tablespoons lite canned coconut milk

  • Reddi Wip, optional

Add 4-6 ice cubes to a 16 oz. cup. Sprinkle in the True Lemon drink mix then pour the La Croix over the top. It tends to foam A LOT, so pour it in a little at a time and stir with a straw to get the fizz to settle. Last, add in the coconut milk and top with Reddi Wip. Enjoy!
