Debunking 4 Protein Myths!

Psst…wanna know a secret? 🤐 Everyone should incorporate protein into their diet! That’s right; we’re talking to you too, ladies! In fact, this one's FOR YOU! Most women underestimate the power of adding extra protein to their diet. Well, it’s time to debunk those protein myths and start taking advantage of a little extra (protein) power! 😉 Not only is it great for building and maintaining muscle mass, it also promotes radiant hair, skin, and nails and helps to keep you more focused and energized throughout the day! Myth #1: Protein is just for bodybuilders. 🏋️

Fact: Protein is made from amino acids (aka the building blocks of life) and every cell, tissue, and hormone in your body is comprised of a variety of amino acids, meaning protein is inclusive. It’s for ALL of us, not just bodybuilders. We recommend about 30% of your daily macro intake to come from protein.

Myth #2: Protein builds big, bulky muscles. 💪

Fact: Protein helps to build and maintain LEAN muscle mass and can actually be a great fat loss tool! High-protein foods take more work to digest, metabolize, and use, which means you burn more calories processing them. They also take longer to leave your stomach, so you feel full sooner and for a longer amount of time.

Myth #3: It's hard to eat a high protein diet.

Fact: The best way to get all your protein in is to plan ahead and spread your protein evenly throughout all of your meals and snacks. Not sure how to plan your meals?
