Over the last few years, I started putting on weight which was due from a lot of fast food, overeating, always wanting dessert and not being consistent with my workouts. At the end of 2019, my weight was at an all-time high and I could tell my health was waning. I was tired all the time, I was bloating a lot and experiencing reflux and I was becoming depressed. I knew I needed to make some changes.
I had been following CSE for over a year, and I knew they did challenges and I felt like joining a challenge would be a great way to get started, so I signed up. I made a promise to myself to stick with it because you can do anything for 7 weeks.
I got to planning and also decided to give up my much beloved Diet Coke and only drink water. The first week of giving up DC was pretty challenging but after that, I didn’t really miss it.
I loved how easy the recipes were and everything tasted so delicious! I loved cooking again and it was so convenient to have my meals prepped for the week which made it easy to stay on track.
Within the first few weeks, I could feel a change. I had more energy throughout the day, I slept better, my mind felt clearer, and no more bloating or reflux. Having more energy I was able to exercise regularly and could tell a change in my mood, I was so much happier.
As the weeks passed I knew this was not a “diet” and it wasn’t just a 7-week challenge anymore this was a lifestyle change that I was going to continue doing.
I love the way I feel. I love fueling my body with delicious, healthy food. I love feeling stronger, and confident. I love my new way of living.
I would work out 5 times a week. 2-3 times from workouts in the back of the CSE book and 2-3 times at Orangetheory.
