Our Winter 2020 Finalist, Justin!

Congrats, Justin!

After weighing around 180 pounds when I got married 10 years ago my weight has reached as high as 230-235 a couple of times over the past few years. When that has happened I have done different diets that were effective at dropping weight fast but I felt like I was starving myself and left me tired and moody. They were not sustainable diets and when I would end it wouldn't take very long for my weight to jump right back up to where it was.

After putting on the holiday weight this past November/December my wife told me about Clean Simple Eats and how she wanted to try it together. I agreed to try it thinking it would be something just like other diets I have done in the past that would help me lose weight in the short term but still not much for the long term. There was a huge difference between CSE and other diets I have done in the past. Rather than starving myself, eating food I disliked, and being tired and unhappy, CSE has provided delicious meals that I look forward to and keep me from feeling hungry/tired throughout the day. They also have given a boost to the workouts I have been doing and I feel stronger and fitter than I have in a long time!

At the beginning of the winter challenge, I just thought this was going to be another diet I just needed to get through for 7 weeks before returning to my unhealthy eating habits, but now my wife and I are both planning on continuing using it since we have seen the amazing difference it has made for our health without having to sacrifice eating good food!

I ran/jogged 2-3 days per week for 30-45 minutes and worked out in the gym using weight machines an additional 2-3 days per week for 30-45 minutes.
