My story with Clean Simple Eats is in its beginning stages. I first learned of CSE about 3 months ago and was very curious about the challenges and what they entailed. I began reading people’s experiences and their success stories and found they were really motivating. I also read reviews about the products that were offered and saw how much people loved them. It really got me interested in CSE.
For the last few years, I had struggled with being comfortable in my own body. My clothes kept getting tighter and size kept going up. I felt like I was on a downhill spiral to a place I didn’t want to go. I just wanted to be happy with who I was. I was not happy with who I was becoming at all.
Over the past year, I have tried other challenges to get in shape and had success, then 6 months down the road only to find myself treading back to where I started. Losing all the success I had gained. IT WASN’T A LIFESTYLE CHANGE. The other challenges didn’t provide the tools needed to change my life for the better. That is what I love about CSE. JJ and Erika give you everything you need to be successful and maintain it as a forever lifestyle change, which I am greatly appreciative for.
JJ and Erika are truly passionate about what they do and want you or me, to have success and guide us along the way. From the meal plans to the workouts, and the products they have created, they all are there to set a person up for success. They have done all the grunt work for you!
My father passed away from a heart attack when I was very young, he was only 32. My mother told me, He was very active and was an avid outdoorsman. This is always in the back of my mind knowing that something like this could happen to me, but it never quite gave me enough motivation to change. I have a lovely wife and 3 of the sweetest daughters anyone could ask for. They got me thinking a little about the lifestyle I was living. Always going to the cupboard for a chocolate chip cookie.
If history repeats itself, my wife could not have a husband, and my daughters could not have a father. Right there gives me enough motivation to change. During this challenge, my family had a personal eye-opening experience that made me realize how short life could be, and how it can be taken away in a heartbeat. Made me realize life is too short not to make a lifestyle change for the better.
During this challenge, I found a love for cycling again. Plus being on a bike gives me the freedom to enjoy the beauty of my surroundings. I could not have completed this challenge without the support of my beautiful wife; she was the backbone of this whole challenge. She deserves all the credit. Without her I would not have had the success I had.
This challenge may be over, but the habits and knowledge I gained will take me and my family through life. Building lasting habits and a lifestyle change for the better. Sometimes we get knocked down in life.
Each season we host a free 7-week, community-based health and fitness challenge. We work hard, get our sweat on, and work together to motivate each other to reach our goals.
