Worth every penny! I have loved every recipe I have tried so far, they are so simple and delicious! Try the taco fries, trust me!
I have loved all seasons of Clean Simple Eats so far, and summer is no different. Super happy that I have been able to purchase all the seasons and one of the two treat books. My family has tried all sorts of new things and found that we like 99% of them! Now that’s no easy feat with 5 in a household! I can’t thank CSE enough for all their hard work.
Love the new recipes, especially the overnight oats, and the Junkyard fires.
So far, I've been using this as hybrid between cookbook and meal plan and am really enjoying many of the recipes! I've always loved cooking, but I think I had this notion that "homemade" or "from scratch" is synonymous with "healthy". It's often true, but I'm sure if I calculated the macros of some of my go-to dinners they'd be so out of balance. The breakfasts have been a real game changer for me! Weekday breakfasts have always been sad and not very filling for me, but I'm really looking forward to the amazing breakfasts in here. The acai bowls were phenomenal. My fiance, who is always reluctant to try anything he views as "health-food", loved them, too! (I can tell he actually likes it when he asks for it again!) The biggest thing this has been helping me with is portion sizes. I come from the midwest, where people actually get offended when you offer them too little food. Or if you don't go back for seconds people think you're ill or on a diet. I bought a food scale about three days into trying these recipes and I love portioning out the ingredients this way. I feel full without feeling stuffed. I haven't explored the workouts yet. I'm a summer camp program director, so I'm very active in the summers and just don't have the time for dedicated workouts. I'm looking forward to trying them this fall when I have more free time and am less active (compared to summer, at least). There is some minor room for improvement with the digital version. Navigating can be cumbersome when you're trying to go back and forth between a recipe and the weekly grocery list. It'd be nice if there were in-document links to quickly jump back and forth. It would also be nice if the grocery list had some notation of which recipes will use that specific ingredient. This would help if I decide not to do a particular meal for a week, and I wouldn't have to track down what ingredients to not get, or get less of.
Love it. So many good ideas
